What's a
Third Space?

A third space is somewhere that isn't home, work or school. It's a place where you can just exist — chill, connect, sketch, laugh, or simply be around people without any pressure.

Bracknell Third Spaces emerged after local young people identified loneliness, high screen time, and a lack of accessible social spaces as major issues. We run regular bi-weekly 18+ events and monthly under-18 sessions — all free or low-cost, DBS-checked, and shaped entirely by the people who attend.

Common questions.

Especially if this is your first time — we get it.

Absolutely — most people do! Our hosts are there specifically to make sure you feel welcome and get connected with new people from the moment you arrive. You won't be left standing alone.

Generally no — most events are drop-in. Follow us on Instagram or TikTok for any event-specific sign-up info, especially for smaller sessions like the dance class.

Our events are specifically designed to be low-pressure and non-performative. There's no expectation to be 'on' — you can vibe in the corner, sketch, or just observe. We actively design for different social comfort levels.

Yes! The vast majority of our events are completely free. Occasionally there may be a small, nominal cost (like a venue entry fee), but removing financial barriers is core to what we do.

We run regular 18+ events (bi-weekly) and dedicated under-18 sessions (monthly). Each event listing clearly shows who it's for.

We love this question! Email us at bracknellthirdspaces@gmail.com or DM us on Instagram. Volunteers need a DBS check and a passion for community — we'll walk you through everything.

Say hello.

Whether you want to come to an event, volunteer, partner with us, or just send a kind word — we would genuinely love to hear from you.
